James has been making progress with walking, he can stand on his own a little and take a few small steps before he realizes no one is helping him. Then of course he plops down on his bum. He took a trip to the ER in the ambulance on 1/12/10 after he crawled out of my bed and landed on his head on the hardwood floor. Luckily he wasn't hurt, just scared...and so was I!
He will truly eat anything! Including live stink bugs...GROSS! He was happily chomping away on it stink and all, I did not enjoy it nearly as much. We are still working on getting him to stay asleep all night but at least he doesn't wake as often as he used to. He is starting to show a bit more temper lately- big surprise if you know his Mom and Dad huh. We are looking forward to his first birthday next month- can you believe how fast time flies. I had thought about doing a balloon theme and after James' reaction to balloons at the Motorsports show last weekend I know he will enjoy it. Every time we passed a balloon he reached for it and whined till he got one for himself!
Hope everyones new year is going well, I'll post pictures soon!

10 Months 2 Weeks
Just a little update for everyone. In case you haven't heard James is officially a "cruiser". He now goes from belly to sitting without assistance. He is pulling himself up on furniture and toys and walking around with them. He took two steps without holding onto anything the week of Christmas but hasn't tried again yet. So far I have not found a food he doesn't like so he must have his Daddy's food preferences! He only wants to feed himself these days so sometimes it's hard to get him to eat cereal since he hasn't learned how to use a spoon yet. He has also gotten very good at managing his sippy cup so we will be getting rid of the bottle soon. I'm thinking milk goes in a cup instead of a bottle. I am very much looking forward to his first birthday and cow's milk! I love nursing but pumping at work is getting less and less productive lately.
Jim got the computer working properly again so I should be able to keep the pictures coming. Hope everyone had a great New Years celebration and has a wonderful 2010!
